Regional HR Business Partner
As the HR Business leader for your region and assigned business unit, you will be involved in business reviews and influencing human capital related decisions. You will also be wearing multiple hats, from that of a culture champion, a talent developer, and change manager to being a trusted advisor. Operating within a lean team and matrixed organization, it presents the right incumbent with exposure to the Senior leadership team. This role will be based out of our Tokyo office.
- Close partnership with the business to shape the workforce plans, organizational redesign and human capital needs.
- Strengthen our human capital bench and readiness through coaching and development.
- Champion employee engagement strategies and foster a positive work culture and environment.
- Facilitate succession planning, development and retention of top talents.
- Collaborate closely with Centres of Excellence (CoEs) within People Team to implement and enhance existing HR programs, processes and practices. These programs include talent acquisition, compensation planning, talent management reviews and development.
- Champion regional HR initiatives and drive effective change management.
- A degree with about 10-15 years of HR business partnering experience. A good understanding of labor regulations within APAC, particularly Japan, is essential.
- Strong business acumen, with demonstrated track record in employee engagement, performance management, talent development, and change management.
- Self-starter with a mature disposition and excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to effectively navigate through complex issues and varying stakeholders’ needs. A strong bias for action and being capable of planning, prioritizing and resolving issues and/or conflicts is important.
- Strong team player who can effectively build trust and rapport with peers, and offer them support or coaching when required.
- English proficiency in business communications.
- Proficiency in analyzing data and leveraging tools like Tableau and Excel to generate insights for influencing business decisions.
- A growth mindset, exhibiting openness and willingness to innovate and experiment, as well as share knowledge and best practices with the team.
